Man waits 10 days at the airport to meet online girlfriend

This story will pretty much blow you away!
A Dutch man met a Chinese woman online and they totally hit it off.
After a two-month online relationship, Alexander Pieter Cirk and the Chinese woman, named Zhang, decide to finally meet. Well that's what Alexander thought!
Alexander headed to the airport and flew to China to meet Zhang, but when he arrived there was no sign of Zhang.
That didn’t scare him off, however. Instead, he decided to wait for her, for 10 days to be exact at the airport!
Local papers started covering the story and even got hold of Zhang to ask her when she would meet up with her Prince Charming?
She was absolutely shocked and thought it was all a big joke.
"We had advanced our romantic relationship but later he seemed a little callous toward me," Zhang said. "One day he sent me a photo of air tickets abruptly, and I thought it was a joke. He didn’t contact me later," she told CCTV News.
Zhang told CCTV News that she was in a different country undergoing plastic surgery and didn’t get any of Cirk’s messages.
She said that she really wants to meet with him after recovering from her operation and wants to make the relationship work.
Shame, you've got to feel for this guy.
I feel sad for him as he clearly missioned to get himself to the airport and looks lashed shoeless and frail lying on the chairs in the airport.
I'm thinking, "why would you wait around for 10 days, though!?" Talk about hopelessly in love!
