Laughter may be the best medicine, but it isn't always ideal

We all love a good giggle, but have you ever got the giggles at the worst possible time?

Imagine you're in one of the most serious situations possible, you read something funny on your phone, and that's the end of your composure... the giggles strike!

The worst is when someone does a mini-trip and you giggle before you see the person (yikes, I know it's not good). Guilty as charged. It gets worse when you're trying to hold it together and your cheeks puff up, your eyes start to water, and then it just spills out.

On Tuesday, I got a serious case of the giggles. Hearing Oprah talking about dog diarrhea pushed me over the edge, and I mean WAY over! I am usually pretty composed in front of the microphone, but I just could not shake the grip of the intoxicating hysteria.

At one stage, there was complete (radio) silence as I lay on the table with my head in my arms trying to pull myself together. After I did and tried to talk about dog poo on the carpet, well, that once again pushed me over the edge.
