Kim Kardashian called ‘terrible and toxic’ for latest promotion
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
The reality television star is receiving hate for promoting an appetite-suppressing lolly pop on her social media accounts.
Let's face it, anyone who follows Kim K knows that at some point or another she will be promoting some product. The media mogul can earn up to $500,000 per Instagram post, so why not?!

However, this time people think that she's taken it too far. Interesting considering she has promoted weight loss teas and shakes in the not-so-distant past...

The argument is that based on her vast following, 111-million on Instagram alone, she should be more responsible about what she promotes.
In the past, Kim Kardashian has slammed the critics and declared that she only promotes brands that she supports herself and believes in.

Kardashian wasn’t the only celebrity promoting the product. Tori Spelling also posted an Instagram advertisement on Tuesday, saying she was “obsessed” with the candy that helps curb her cravings. Followers also criticised Spelling, who asked whether the actor used the products she promoted?
The product also contains a warning stating the “statements on the Site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and the products offered on the Site are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."

I just worry about all the young women following the likes of the Kardashians, aiming for the type of body that they are unlikely to achieve. I fear that our image of what beauty is has been skewed.
Surely we should be more concerned with raising young women who are of sound mind first and confident in their own skin before anything else?
