Jane: Parents need to be aware of this new online game
There's a new online game that is said to come to South Africa which could potentially put the lives of children in danger. Disturbed by it all, Jane shares her thoughts and chats to an expert about the matter.
During my childhood I loved being in the great outdoors, playing with friends and doing things that kids would normally do like playing hopscotch and even playing TV games.
However, there is a new game that could be coming to South Africa which could put our precious children's lives at risk. According to IOL, the film and publication board has sent out notices to parents to be on the look out for a new game called the 'Blue Whale' which is a so-called online form of a 'suicide game'.

The premise of the game is that once a user is signed up, there are tasks that are assigned to them which they have to complete which could include anything from watching videos, listening to music and even requesting users to carve a whale symbol into their skin. Disturbing!

Added to the list of other things that our children are exposed to, this is just another form of online bullying that parents need to look out for to protect our children against.
