Jane: Do you believe in equality within a marriage?

It seems as though the old school mentality of 'women should be in the kitchen' and 'men should be out working' has totally gone out the window.

I’ve never been in a relationship that’s like that. Although in saying that, having a look at more old school relationships such as my mom and dad, I would say they have a more woman’s role and man’s role kind of relationship, but that’s after being married for over 40 odd years.

This video, titled 'Do It Together', has been doing the rounds on social media, showcasing how it would be if gender roles were reversed in a marriage. The creators of the video aimed to challenge the way we perceive gender roles and to promote that couples should be working together in a marriage on various daily functions.

In our marriage, Mike and I share the role of co-parenting and running our life together – although I would never be seen cleaning the pool, yet he is often seen doing the dishes. 

I think, if anything, I need to step up and get behind the lawn mover… NOT! Can you see these wedges pushing a lawnmower?!
