House where Oscar Pistorius lived to become a party spot
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Two new tenants have just signed a two-year lease for the house.
Could you ever live in a house where a tragedy once took place?
I hands down most certainly could not. I just know that the dark energy would rattle me, especially at night.
For David Scott (33) and Kagiso Mokoape (23) the only word when watching them take a tour of the infamous house where Oscar Pistorius killed Reeva Steenkamp with their beers in hand is excitement.
You can so imagine the re-enactments and commentary at every braai.
They were filmed recently giving a tour of the house and commenting on the tragedy. They have subsequently, apologised for their statements and said things were taken out of context.
The rent is R30 000 a month, and they have apparently signed a lease for 2 years. David and Kagiso say they hope to rid the house of its negative energy by turning it into a ‘party house’.
The duo plan to host parties every weekend; they even have plans to live-stream the events.
I am sure the gated community of Silver Woods Country Estate will have a lot to say about raucous parties.
