You can only imagine how this 17-year-old must have felt swiping a parked BMW?
Most times I reckon people drive away as fast as their tyres will take them. This young man however raced off to do his last delivery and then sped back to write an apology letter and even offered to pay for the incident with all the money that he had.
According to CNN, when his note was translated, it read: “Uncle, I’m sorry. I accidentally bumped into you last night when I was driving an electric tricycle. I have all together over 300 yuan ($44), and give it to you as a compensation. I know the money was not enough, but that’s all the money I have. I feel really sorry for the accident.”
The owner of the car, Xue, was so touched by Chen's note and sentiment that he hired local authorities to help track down the young delivery driver and even rewarded his honesty by giving him over 10 000 yuan (which is just over $1400).
