Five things that Stacey Norman loves about Durban
Updated | By Stacey Norman
Just when you thought it was only the beach that attracts visitors, Stacey Norman has found a lot more to love about beautiful Durban.
Durban has to be one of the most beautiful provinces in SA - and I love the fact that I get to be here and call this place my home.

Sometimes in life, it's good to stop and appreciate what we have and our surroundings. So today I decided to reflect on the reasons why I love Durbs.
Here are five of them:
Everybody is up super early
I am the type of person that is always up first. I remember in my childhood waking up early waiting for KTV to start, and I love that. I can see people waking up early in the morning to run, hike, and jog - it's quite encouraging you know.
The weather
I love the fact that it's not 3000 degrees today (Okay I exaggerate). Durban's weather is a throwback to my Capetonian roots as the weather can change very quickly. Although the humidity sucks, I do love that the weather is generally warm - the perfect opportunity to rock out my Birkenstocks and a cute dress.
The love that you feel
I love the passion that Durbanites show. Everyone is really so nice here, and since starting my show this past week, the WhatsApp line has been filled with a lot of positive vibes
Shopping
As you may know, I do love a bit of shopping, and I love the fact that the station is situated opposite a mall. This is legit the best thing ever.
Food
Okay, so I've lived in Joburg and Cape Town before, and I must be honest that there is some pretty rad food to choose from in Durban. Not only is this place a melting pot (Get the pun) of cultures, but there are so many varieties of yummy food. Just to add - Keri Miller from East Coast Breakfast introduced me to this fantastic Thai place. I've tried their Green Curry, and it's life-changing. Yum!
