Celine Dion receives criticism for the way she looks

If you have seen any pictures of Celine Dion recently, you may have got a fright at how thin she looks. Fans everywhere have taken to social media to share their thoughts.

However, the star has clapped back, saying that she is happy the way she is and is choosing to turn the other cheek to thin-shamers.

CNN reports that Dion said: "If I like it, I don't want to talk about it. Don't bother. Don't take a picture. I'm doing this for me. I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. If you like it, I'll be there. If you don't, leave me alone."

In addition to her looks being criticised, rumours are making the rounds saying that the 50-year-old is romantically involved with dancer Pepe Muñoz. However, Celine added that they are just "best friends", and that "they have bonded very quickly".

Even if they are involved, we're not judging - everyone gets a bit lonely at times.

Lauryn Hill IS coming to SA!

It's true, American singer-songwriter Lauryn Hill is making her way to Mzansi as part of her The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour.

Twitter was abuzz with rumours and were doubtful initially of her tour visit with Nas, but Hill decided to confront her fans head-on by saying that she definitely will be coming and that she has some important work to complete in the motherland.

"I got word that some people were doubtful that Nas and I were coming to Johannesburg to play. From the first day we started putting the tour together, playing (in) Africa was a must. Not only are we coming but we're coming to establish an important precedence," she said.

The concert will be held on 2 February 2019 at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg and a portion of the ticket sales will "go towards the MLH Fund, which directly contributes support for education, health, agriculture, technology, and community based businesses and development initiatives throughout the Diaspora," Big Concerts reports
