Elon Musk to send kid-sized submarine to help save trapped soccer team
Updated | By Debra Gcabashe
Billionaire Elon Musk will be sending a minute submarine to help rescue the remaining soccer team members trapped in a Thailand cave since June 23rd.
More than two weeks after the team of 12 boys, aged between 11 and 16, together with their coach were trapped in a Thai cave, rescue missions are underway.

Yesterday, four team members were rescued, and now billionaire Elon Musk is testing a submarine prototype that will be sent over to help save the remaining boys and their coach.
The rescue mission has not been able to move as fast as desired due to rising water levels in the cave and none of the boys can swim. All efforts are being rushed at the moment as the area where the children are trapped is experiencing heavy rains and water is beginning to rise rapidly.
Musk said that the submarine he is working on has four handles in the front and four in the rear, along with four air tank connections. He also confirmed that the device could manoeuvre through the most narrow passages.

Apart from sending the submarine, Elon has also offered the services of some of his best engineers to help rescue workers optimise search and rescue procedures.
FIFA has since asked the boys to attend the World Cup final match in Russia.
The remaining search is expected to take four days and will begin as soon as the rains stop.
