An organisation called Hero777 is hosting a fundraising event called "BRAVISSIMO" in a bid to create awareness about organ and tissue donation.

It is reported that an individual can save up to seven lives, and even restore up to fifty if they pluck up the courage to become an organ and tissue donor.

Hero777 was started by Matthew Legemaate who, when he was 13-years-old, had to be placed on permanent oxygen supply and needed a heart and bi-lateral lung transplant. It is reported that Matthew had been born with "a congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallots and severe pulmonary atresis".

This brave youngster decided that he needed to make a change, and wanted a way to create awareness of the importance of tissue and organ donation, hence Hero777 was born. He chose to make it his mission to obtain 50,000 registered organ donors.

The campaign is simple - 7 people tell 7 friends, repeat this 7 times over, and they should be able to reach over 800,000 people. Amazing, right?

In an effort to raise funds for Hero777, an event called 'BRAVISSIMO' will be held on Saturday, 13 October 2018 in Hangar 8, Virginia Airport from 4pm until late. It is an Italian themed event - a heritage that Matthew is passionate about. The event promises to have entertainment, a photo exhibition, comedy, Italian food, and music.

Tickets are just R350 per person, and all proceeds will go towards the cause.
