Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie post emotional tributes to Kenny Rogers

Celebrities send touching tributes to the late Kenny Rogers.
Messages have been pouring in on social media this past weekend following the passing of Kenny Rogers, who according to reports died of natural causes surrounded by his family.
His family verified this in a Twitter post on his official verified account.
The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25PM at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family. https://t.co/adxAgiMW2s pic.twitter.com/nggWiiotMT

Lionel Richie shared an emotional post on his Instagram page along with photos of him and the star. In the post he said: "Today I lost one of my closest friends 💔 So much laughter so many adventures to remember, my heart is broken. My prayers go out to Kenny’s Family"
Dolly Parton also shared an equally touching tribute in a video to the late star and his family. In the video, she had this to say: "I couldn't believe this morning when I got up and turned TV, checking what the coronavirus was doing, and they told me that my friend Kenny Rogers had passed away."
