Did the Loch Ness Monster make it to Alaska?
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
A strange creature has been spotted in the icy waters of Alaska! Could it be the Loch Ness Monster?
A few mornings ago Craig McCaa, who works for the Bureau of Land Management in Alaska, was taking pictures of the Chena River when he spotted a 15-foot long object swaying in the water.
There has been a lot of speculation about what this slimy looking thing is. My two cents, I think it is an eel of sorts. It certainly moves in an eel-like way.
The video has more than 229,000 views on Facebook, with one excited viewer joking that the Loch Ness Monster must have had some offspring that made their way to Alaska.
Some guessed it was just a branch, or a clump of weeds, while others were convinced the object was a living animal, like an eel or a sturgeon, swimming against the current.
