Chinese couple gets married at the age of 13
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
Barely even teenagers, this couple has decided to tie the knot. What do you think about marriage at this age?
How unsettling is this?
I came across an article about a Chinese couple, adorned in red wedding attire, who got married in a traditional Chinese wedding last month. It was also reported by Independent that the girl was five months pregnant at the time of the wedding.

Although they have tied the knot, their wedding won't be recognised as legal, as the legal age for females to marry is 20 and males 22.
Not only the fact that these two are still children themselves, what do they know about being parents? Or husband and wife, for that matter?
This girl doesn't even know what responsibilities are waiting for her around the corner. I can only imagine how distressed her parents must be at this situation. I'm not sure how I would have reacted if I was in this situation.
