CCTV captures brave Johannesburg woman fighting off robbers
There was no way this woman was going to give in to these gun-wielding men without a fight.
How insane is this footage? In broad daylight, two bad guys climb out their car and pounce on a Johannesburg woman walking innocently down the road.
According to TimesLive, the video was captured by CCTV cameras on a road in Auckland Park and made its rounds on social media on Monday. The men were after her two bags that she was carrying. One of the bags dropped but when they tried to grab the second one, she wrestled and resisted them - refusing to give it up. After the struggle, the guys got in their car and she casually moved on as if nothing had happened. Madness!
What was alarming for me is how she hung onto her handbag while having a gun pointed at her face. I mean, what was so important in that bag that she was willing to risk her life?! In the background, you see a car driving past.

My first thought was that if you saw someone in distress you'd stop, right? But when I thought about it a bit further, I wondered if I would have stopped if I saw armed men? It's a tough one.
Thankfully, the men have been arrested and charged with army robbery. As for the victim, hats off to you for being so brave. I'm not sure if I would have been able to put up such a fight?
