Be for and NOT against South Africa!
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
We can be the change we want to see in our country! This is how Dan Mace wants us to be more positive about South Africa.
We so desperately need more peaceful, love filled and inspirational people like Dan Mace in the world right now.
Dan Mace is a young film maker from Cape Town that wants South Africa to be re-imaged!
Dan has created a video encouraging South Africans to be positive about our beautiful country, and this is how he wants us to do it.
He asks:
“Do we say we are all f**** and go to where the grass seems greener, the culture weaker and the rugby worse…”
“Or do we say f*** that, I’m going to celebrate this country that’s been given the diversity, creativity, heritage, the power to fight for something better.”
“We need to take a step back and remember what we are fighting for and reimagine the perfect South Africa visually. And what better way to do that than through our pictures, our films, our writing, our creativity.”
As a collective we need to focus on the bright side of a sometimes scary situation.
Its tangible examples like our #WaterShare campaign that makes my heart burst with pride and joy to be a part of such a beautiful diverse and giving community.
In this particular instance the love and care for each other regardless of colour, religion and income made me cry.
Today let's agree that going forward we will only post upbeat, positive and happy posts on social media.
Some may say it's not reality and I am being an ostrich by sticking my head in the sand.
My reply to that is that love attracts love, and that is the road I want to travel.
Watch is powerful message here:
Snap a picture of our beautiful country and what it has to offer and share it on social media using the hashtag #Rainbowchain and post it below.
