A tribute: Remembering Lebo Mathosa, 12 years on
Updated | By Justin Paul James
On Wednesday's Hot Goss, we remember the great Lebo Mathosa, Normani and Calvin Harris have a song, and Kim K gets trolled hard by Google.
We miss you, Lebo Mathosa
This past Tuesday marked 12 years since the untimely passing on Kwaito legend, Lebo Mathosa. The star died on 23 October 2006 following a fatal car crash which took place in Johannesburg. She was only 29 at the time of her passing.
Her career took off as the lead singer of the hugely popular band, Boom Shaka.
Thembi Seete, who was a band member alongside Lebo, took to social media to share an emotional tribute to this much-loved artist.

Lebo's biggest hit during her solo career had to be the song, 'I Love Music' - taken from her album, Legends.
A beautiful soul that was taken away from us too soon. Lebo Mathosa may be gone, but Mzansi will never forget this extremely talented legend. Rest in Peace, Lebo.
Two songs are better than one, right?
There's nothing like the panic that sets in when an artist teases new music releases. But when an artist comes through and releases two songs in one day, well that's a bonus.

Twenty-two-year-old Normani has teamed up with Calvin Harris to release two new songs called, 'Checklist' and 'Slow Down'.
The releases come after the former Fifth Harmony member's smash hit, 'Love Lies' featuring Khalid, dropped.
When asked about her solo career, the star told Rolling Stone: "There are so many people excited for me, which I love, but that comes with pressure. I look at my core fans and see how loyal, dedicated and committed they’ve been. How they’ve rocked with me from the beginning. I just want to live up to those expectations."
2018 is sure looking up for Normani.
Is Kim K famous? Google doesn't think so
Kim Kardashian celebrated her 38th birthday this past Sunday, and while many call her 'famous', everyone's loved search engine doesn't seem to quite think she fits that category.
Actually, we don't really know why Kim is famous. Sure, she is a hard-working mom, who has a multi-million dollar brand of beauty products, signed to many brands, and is on a reality show, but other than that, we can't find any other reason why she's known as 'famous'. Maybe it's because of a particular tape that surfaced a few years ago with Ray J? Hmm...

While many around the world know her to be famous, Google doesn't quite think so. The team from UNILAD published an interesting article which demonstrated that Kim didn't feature on Google's famous birthday list. Ouch!
And, of course, we conducted our own test to prove it. See below.
Whether you agree with Google or not, Kim Kardashian has definitely made a name for herself, and that's something to be proud of - despite how or what she did to get the status.
No comment from her as yet on this one, but we will be keeping a close eye on the 'gram' to see if she throws her famous shade.
