Fellow South Africans, may we present this tin-imalist.

Taking minimalism to a whole new level, a woman from the UK reveals that she doesn't allow her family to use cutlery and plates, but rather tinfoil.

This move comes at a time where the cost of living is very high. By not using plates, the family cuts down on water and dish soap costs significantly.

Twenty-eight-year-old Rebecca Kimberly has also adopted eating with bare hands to keep cutlery clean - and she could not be happier.

She describes this family move as "fun and enjoyable".

Many users are criticising this mother as they point out the waste that will accumulate from the tinfoil.

The mother has clapped back by stating that her family recycles the tinfoil after enjoying their dinner.

The life-hack mom has also made mention to how affordable this eating style is.

“You can take your kids out … to a restaurant and it would cost 50 pounds, and this cost me a fiver,” she explained. “We had just as much fun as if we’d gone out,” says Rebecca.
