Yay! uMhlanga Nature Reserve trail open again

Stacey Norman shares the latest on the Umhlanga forest fiasco.
The breathtaking beauty of the uMhlanga Lagoon and Nature Reserve has been quite literally reserved for the past while.
Many uMhlanga residents have been left heartbroken by the demarcation of this area due to effects of "the UPL chemical spill" amidst the KZN floods of 2022.
Despite all the adversity faced, the nature reserve is officially open again, but only up until just after the lagoon. The rest is part of the ongoing exclusion zone.
Councillor Nicole Bollman took to Facebook to share this matter of public interest in March. See below:
Little is known about a timeline of when this issue will be fast-tracked. One thing is for certain, the people miss this pet-friendly nature walk that ends on our beautiful coastline. Luckily, we are able to still enjoy a snippet of the paradise.
