Worldwide sriracha shortage has Stacey and J Sbu stocking up

The world is losing it's spiciness!
One thing about KZN is that we love to spice up our food. From curry spice to actual chillies, Durbanites have highly sophisticated tastebuds.
One flavouring that many South Africans have an affinity towards is sriracha.
Sriracha is a type of hot sauce made from a paste of chilli peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt. It is generally paired with roasted meats, cold meats, fish cutlets, egg rolls, and on salad... basically anything you can eat at a braai.

However, there is some shocking news, the world is currently suffering a sriracha shortage.
The reason behind this mega shortage is due to a lack of chilli peppers needed to produce this one of a kind sauce.
A Huy Fong spokesperson told CBS that sriracha is currently being produced at a lower-than-normal rate due to extreme drought in Mexico, New Mexico, and California, where the company sources its chilli peppers.

"I have literally bought three bottles of Sriracha since I heard the news," says Stacey Norman.

- Red pepper flakes
- Hot sauce
- Fresh hot chilli peppers
- Dried chilli peppers
- Wasabi
