Who's that friend that never contributes?

Who's that friend that never contributes?

In other words, it's time to name (don't shame) the cheapskate in your friend group...

In a general group of friends, there is always that one (sometimes more) friend who always finds a way of scraping through without contributing to anything.

After the recent TikTok trend that featured the audio of "Can I have the beetroot?" went viral - with many South Africans relating - Stacey and J Sbu decided that it was time to ask KZN an important question.

"Who’s the cheapskate in your friend’s group or family?"

Even Pearl Thusi jumped on the trend and did a video...

It is so awkward to talk about and yet for some reason the ones who don't contribute don't feel bad about asking for things despite their non-contribution.

But it is certainly something that Mzansi feels strongly about, considering so many of them jumped on the trend.

Ever noticed how it's so easy for people who fall into the 'cheapskate' group to ask for favours, yet when the time comes, they are never available or able to return the favour?

It seems that friends in need are not friends indeed...

If you are a friend who always sails through get-togethers without forking out the moola, then best believe your friends will catch on sooner or later.
