What is a snail facial and why haven't we heard of it?

The results should be exemplary after having several snails crawl over your face...
Most people consider treating themselves a luxury. However, over the last few years, beauty treatments have become increasingly popular.
Chemical peels, micro-blading, and collagen powder have been popularised. But there is one thing that seems to have come out that truly surprised us... snail facials.
Of course, there is this pressure to always look young in society that has people trying out new things that come out in the beauty market.

The snail facial has been a buzzword in the beauty sphere for some time. It is famous for its snail mucin, which has anti-ageing and skin-perfecting effects.
Snail facials became famous because of their benefits and because many videos on social media showed snails crawling over people's faces.
Check out the video below, courtesy of Instagram.
Skin Inc. defines a snail facial as "a spa treatment that involves the application of snail mucin, which is the mucus secreted by snails, directly onto the skin. This facial gained popularity due to its trending popularity in Korean skincare and potential skin benefits—such as humectant hydration, skin repair, and a myriad anti-ageing effects."
There may be many benefits to this facial, but we have one reason not to do it: it's so creepy...
We have seen packs of snail facial treatments that are sold. So, we are guessing instead of having a snail on your face; you can apply the snail's mucin on your face yourself.
