What do you hide when you have visitors over at your house?
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
You know that moment when your door bell rings with unexpected visitors at the door? What would be the first thing you hide or clean up before you open the door?
Stacey and JSbu want to know from you, KZN: What do you hide when you have visitors over at your house?
For the team, it is based on who may be behind the door. If its their parents, a lot of things may need to be hidden! For JSbu, his family is very conservative, so anything that is on display in his apartment that may conflict with that will need to be out of sight before his parents walk in.
Stacey, who is a wine lover, would need to put her precious wine away depending on which friend is at the door. Remember, there are certain bottles that are kept for only special occasions. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that.
According to a survey conducted online, these are the things that readers hide when they have unexpected guests show up:
- Not a damn thing. If they are at my house, they know me well enough that I am who I am! If I gotta hide the swing in the room, they ain't welcome anyway!
- I can't really hide it, but my gross, badly stained carpet.
- The large amount of blankets we have for lounging. We don’t even have room to sit with all our blankets!
- Everything. I shove all the extra clutter out of sight. You would think I would learn that when I go to clean up the clutter I would get rid of some.
- The dirty dishes!
- The pile of clothes in my laundry room.
- I dont hide anything. I disguise it instead.
Can you relate to any of the above?
The team asked KZN what their thoughts were on Facebook and these are some of their comments:
My hard drive it means the world to me and people just want to stick it into places where I don't know where it's been. I don't need any more viruses this year. 😂 The rest micasa sucasa- Sashika Calicharan
