Even though it is the inevitable, as
human’s death is still something that we just can’t get used to. From the pain
we feel when we first hear the news to the grief that time seems to just never
heal.

On Wednesday afternoon, Stacey and JSbu posed this question to KZN: What do you do with the clothes that remind you of a traumatic event?
Read: Unpacking trauma
JSbu was surprised when Stacey shared with him that she has a set of clothes that she reserves for funerals. “The clothes are almost always black and very dignified, and I just recycle them," Stacey shared.
For Stacey, she does not give away or get rid of the clothes after the funeral and she doesn’t attach any further grief of the occasion that she wore the attire to by discarding them. Stacey and JSbu did share however that they have heard from friends and acquaintances that especially if the clothes were worn to a family member's bereavement that they must get rid of them or simply pack them away.
