An exposé on home-wrecking
Cheating, friends with benefits and being “the other person” isn’t a foreign concept to us.
We decided to spice things up and pose the question: “ What could be the appeal of seeing someone who is married?“
The responses we got gave us an exclusive insight:

Relationships can be complicated. Love, temptation and desire all play a major role when it comes to wanting someone.
Often married men are front and centre of the firing line when it comes to wanting more.
Married men are often seen as more appealing due to the security, shelter and responsibility them seem to have due to maintaining a long term relationship or family commitments.
Likewise with married women they are often appealing due to the excitement it brings about being with a married woman and “giving them what they didn’t get” from their current relationship.
The dynamic may be different but one thing is for sure.
Many people believe that just because there’s a goalie, doesn't mean they can't score.

We posed this question to our Drive team.
Stacey said that the only perk when being with someone who is married is when you’re not in a space to be committed and you have the emotional standing to not receive any kind of love at all.
You’re simply just the other person, no strings or rings attached.

J Sbu does not condone this behaviour but from seeing it happen, he thinks it works for a certain type of person.
It works for someone who is not in a committed relationship.
A very clear benefit is time. You have more time to yourself to focus on what matters to you and other endeavours.
Seeing partners all the time, always being called and worrying about their every move are non-existent when seeing a married man.
Financial benefit is another major plus. Having financial freedom and possibly even benefitting financially from the recreational exchanges coincide with these kind of relationships.
One popular user shared her opinion with us:
I can't see anything appealing about being a side piece but what is appealing is watching the affected party opening a can of whip @** on their spouse….kidding. What could ever be appealing about breaking up a family, why would anyone want to be the source of another person's unhappiness..I will never understand it and there is never a good enough reason.- KZN Listener
