WATCH: YouTuber covers Christmas classic by using Checkers delivery scooters
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
Tis the collaboration of the season (That we didn't even know we needed)!
Nothing makes you feel like you've officially entered the festive season more than the music!
Michael Buble starts defrosting and takes his spot as the King of Christmas tunes and Mariah Carey moves back to the top with her timeless hit, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
But although it might feel like those are the only two artists who matter at this time of year, we want to introduce you to your new favourite festive act.
And believe us when we say this is the collaboration you didn't know you needed but you'll probably want more of it after hearing their song.
First, we need to tell you about popular South African YouTuber and award-winning director Dan Mace.
Dan has quite a CV, which includes being the founder of JOE Films in Cape Town, being the recipient of the Young Director Awards at Cannes Lions, and has spent 10-years in the production of music videos, documentaries, and short films.
He's so talented in fact that in 2020 a troll commented on one of his videos saying "Bet you can’t make music with a brick you tool". Dan accepted this as a challenge and set out to turn a brick into a tool and proceeded to play The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights':
Now he's teamed up with Checkers to spread some holiday cheer!
And what is he using as instruments this time? The Checkers Sixty60 scooters, of course.
What song will they be performing? The company's very own rendition of 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town'.
Dan takes his role as lead conductor and orchestrates the delivery motorbikes and their drivers to click speedometers, rev engines, stomp feet, and knock delivery boxes to create the sound of the tune.
Once they had the instrumental down, they added the vocals and some other fun elements.
