He will forever regret not putting his phone on 'Do Not Disturb'.
Graduation day is one of the most important days of any student's life.

For years you've been working hard to achieve a massive goal, there has definitely been blood, sweat, and many tears, and one day you finally receive the recognition you deserve.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of students have had to accept that they will never have a 'normal' graduation, where they get to wear the cap and gown while having their family and friends watch with pride.

However, many universities, students, and their loved ones have found creative ways of making the day feel as special and close to the real thing as possible.
And, of course, the technological age has helped a great deal.

Unfortunately, no matter how prepared you think you are for the big day, there might still be a few accidents.
Take Tabbi Reed's graduation video for example.

Tabbi had finished studying a philosophy degree at Cambridge University and after having to wait an entire year to graduate, her day had finally arrived.
Naturally, the 22-year-old wanted to capture the day to serve as a reminder of the hard work and time she had put into achieving her goal.

As no friends and family were allowed into the Churchill College where her graduation was taking place, she wanted to record the live stream.
She put her brother Ed in charge of the recording and he decided to use his phone for the job.

As the ceremony was taking place, her brother received a very inappropriate text message from one of his friends just as his sister was accepting her diploma.
Watch the video below to see the impeccable timing this terrible text message had:

In case you had some trouble reading the text, it says: "Ed, I s**t myself again".
Luckily, Tabbi wasn't too offended or heartbroken by the incident, and actually found it quite funny:
Ed is on a year abroad in The Netherlands so I knew he would be watching anyway and asked him to screen record it for me. I just found it so funny. The recording came over the next morning when I was quite hungover. I showed it to my mum and we just burst out laughing. Sam and Ed are best friends. He hadn't actually pooed himself, it was just a funny text between the two of them.- Tabbi Reed

She also mentioned that this is pretty standard behaviour between her brother, Ed, and his friend Sam and she thinks these two are pretty pleased with themselves.
After posting the video on TikTok, Tabbi was met with a flood of comments giving her advice on how to edit the video in order to remove the message, but luckily she did also ask her mother to record the ceremony so she does have a non-filthy version.

And just when you thought there weren't any more plot twists, it turns out that Ed had told Sam he was recording the whole thing and asked him to send a "weird message".
Typical brotherly behaviour!
At the end of the day, Tabbi will always be able to look back on her graduation with pride while also getting a good chuckle.
