While holidaying in SA, Sarah Scott fought off an attempted kidnapping while waiting for an Uber.

A distressing incident caught on CCTV has sent shock waves across SA.
Sarah Scott fought for her life after an attempted kidnapping incident in Johannesburg.
The 44-year-old Tanzanian woman was on a two-week holiday in South Africa when the incident occurred. Last Friday night, she was waiting outside for her Uber to take her to visit friends.
A man walked closely past her just as a car pulled up and its door swung open. Mistaking it for her Uber, she approached the vehicle when the assailant grabbed her, attempting to push her into the car.
"I am always present and in the moment, and I think that helped me react immediately," she told News24.
She screamed, describing the sound as a “lion’s roar”, as she fought her attackers off.
Take a look:
@news24 Security camera footage shows how Sarah Scott was almost abducted after she requested an Uber to take her to visit friends on Friday night. Shortly before the attempted kidnapping, Scott says it appeared her Uber had arrived - but the car involved in the failed abduction was not the Uber she had requested. Scott's attempted kidnapping happened days before radio and TV host Anele Mdoda posted that she had been threatened with rape by an Uber driver in Cape Town after she indicated on the app that she preferred not to speak to him.
