TikTok creators @janelleandkate have shared their latest toilet trick that has us questioning everything.

These Instagram influencers claim that this trick is the groundbreaking hack of the month, but potty-mouthed social media critics are threatening “violence” over a newly viral “cleaning hack” video.
“Putting your toilet seat in the dishwasher is diabolical behaviour. Do better,” said one user.
More of the disapproving comments are as follows:
- “This is why I don’t eat at everyone’s home"
- “If you invite me over for dinner and I see your toilet seat in the dishwasher I’m turning around and never coming back"
- “No. The water [in a dishwasher] doesn’t get anywhere near hot enough to sterilise it, or the dishwasher afterward"
- "If anyone I know does this, we are no longer friends."
- "Aside from the obvious health risks implicated from this 'Hack', the blade, which is needed to clean the dishes, is unable to turn"
- "This can't be real. NASTY AF."

Despite the online backlash, Janelle and Kate did receive some cyber support from social media users who approved their controversial hack.
They have yet to respond to questions about their video and continue to share more online hacks.

The NY Post reports: “While we definitely don’t recommend cleaning your toilet seat in the dishwasher, if you absolutely must, then you’ll want to load it correctly to make sure it gets clean,” the analysts advised.
However, while the sanitary properties of their hack remain questionable, some online allies revealed that they, too, don’t see the harm in cleaning the crapper and cutlery together.
