A bizarre sighting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal's (UKZN) Westville campus has left students and staff in stitches.

A 16-second video shared on TikTok shows a group of pigs roaming freely around the campus, leaving many to wonder how they ended up there.

The clip, which has gained significant attention, was captioned "Why are there pigs roaming on campus?!"

Naturally, it sparked a flurry of hilarious comments. Some users joked that the pigs were simply trying to get to class, while others referenced popular children's characters Peppa Pig and her brother George.

One TikTok user, Nessie, offered a possible explanation for the pigs' presence, suggesting that they may have escaped from Banana City, a nearby informal settlement.

Regardless of how they got there, the pigs have certainly brought a smile to the faces of the UKZN Westville campus community.
