While it seems obvious to keep an eye out for any dangerous creatures when you are in their habitat, meaning when you are actually in the ocean, it would stand to reason that anywhere outside of the water you would be safe.

The video is particularly gory and gross. It's not close up footage or captures a fight between man and beast, the usual elements you would expect from a shark attack video.

Instead, this one is filmed some distance away, but what you can see is two parasailors riding tandem before a shark leaps out of the water towards one of the parasailor's feet.

Shark attacks in this region, the Gulf of Aqaba, are apparently very rare:

However, only two days after the initial attack, another group had a shark confrontation.

Luckily, in the second attack, no humans were injured when the shark wanted to bite the speedboat.

According to Roya News, Nayef al-Bakhit, the head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), said that they would be forming a committee in order to investigate the two incidents and will release a statement after the investigation has been concluded.

Hopefully, that means no other shark-related injuries in the future.
