This woman from Queensland was shocked when she heard an unwanted visiter in her home.
She heard a glass breaking in her kitchen at night and was under the impression that it might be a case of a break-in.
This then prompted her to phone the police as she thought she was being robbed.
However, once she worked up the courage to go downstairs, she discovered a colossal snake in her kitchen.
This snake was identified to be a python which was curled up in one of her shelves in her pantry.
The video of the rescue and relocation was posted on Facebook and depicts a man grabbing the stick from the back of the car and heading to the scene.
Amoung the chaos, he located the snake and made a "blind grab" in order to secure it.

“I headed over and relocated it for her back out into the bush,” the rescuer wrote in the Facebook post.
“It was a busy night last night with plenty of snakes on the move and a few of them entering houses," he reported.
The snake catchers shared some advice on situations such as these: “If you ever have a snake inside, the best thing to do is to try and isolate the snake by closing the door and locking it in the room/ cupboard and putting a towel under the door, then giving your local snake catcher a call straight away.”
