DEBUNKED: Google responds to the viral award for the first phrase searched

This TikToker is doing the most to Google a phrase that has never been Googled before.

In a world where we have information right at our fingertips, there are still some things that have yet to be Googled. 

It was alleged by several sources on the internet that Google actually gives you an award for being the first person to search for a particular phrase?

One TikToker tried his luck at winning, watch below:

From Googling terms about the legality of parking pigeons to crazy phrases involving baloney, the powerhouse search engine is yet to see it all. 

It has recently come to that light that this award is in fact a facade.

Google has spoken out about the claims that this award exists. Colette Garcia, a communications manager for Search at Google, told Newsweek that, “this award does not currently exist. In fact, 15 percent of searches we see every day are new.”

Prior to the recent surge of interest, a few years ago there was one user who went viral for winning several of these awards for obscure animal searches. Here is a snippet of some of the awards he "won" below:
