Being a live newscaster can be a very demanding job. Late nights, early mornings, and crazy locations are all part of what newscasters will encounter when reporting live on breaking news.

However, it is very seldom that the newscaster ends up in an altercation or accident on air. WSAZ-TV journalist, Tori Yorgey, was reporting live from Dunbar, West Virginia, USA on Wednesday covering a local water main break.

While she was reporting, something totally unexpected happened...

She was struck by a car on live TV and the camera kept rolling.

Watch below:

Luckily, the incident was not severe and Tori played it off in a cool manner. The camera, recording everything despite falling over, captures Tori saying: "Oh my god, I just got hit by a car, but I'm okay. I'm okay, you know, that's live TV for ya. It's all good."

She later repeats the phrases, "I'm okay, We're okay, We're good, Tim". She said this to reassure the audience and people in studio that she was fine, despite the obvious shock.

The moment gets even more interesting when Tori tells us with a big smile on her face that it's not her first time getting struck by a car. She was hit by a car in her college days. This gives the impression that she is okay cause she's been there, done that.

Following this incident, the news outlet did a follow-up episode of Tori in studio where she told us about the events that followed the incident.

She speaks to the anchor, Tim, on how the team took her to the hospital to get "checked out" and there were absolutely no broken bones, just some mild bruising.

She described the moment, adding: "I was standing there looking at the camera and as I'm literally about to speak, I just feel, like, a big old hit in my back, and I just saw the car. I thought I was going under the wheel. I thought I was getting run over in that moment. It was really, really scary."

Nevertheless, she carried on. "That's always my first instinct, just get back up if I can," she said. "I definitely love my job, I would not trade it for the world."

The video that has gone viral shows us how careful we need to be on the roads, but also how you react to an incident is so important.

Thank goodness we didn't have a Regina George on our hands!
