Welcome to January: Man faints after discovering shocking truth at ATM
Updated | By Stacey & J Sbu
This story from last year really hit home for us this January...
We all know a high-flyer that cashes out over the long weekends, however, we rarely see their downfall shared on the net.
One unlucky man's financial situation rendered him unconscious after he tried to withdraw money from an ATM.
The viral video was posted by @kubsta645 after the Easter long weekend and Mzansi seems convinced that "the man got caught in the hype and overspent".

The obvious conclusion is that this man forked out the big bucks, however, one theory that has been surfing the net is "maybe he was scammed while attempting to withdraw cash?".
While South Africans share their thoughts on how this man fell for his bank balance, here's what others have to say:
- "The guy who passed straight to the ATM has no empathy, he had something to do with the scam."
- "If he was scammed then the two gentlemen on the atm know something."
- "This gonna be a long month for most of the people, these mid-month long weekends are not ayoba."
- "The fanning is killing me."
- "The flip-flops guy is suspect No. 1. Then the wife."
If this incident has taught us anything, it's that we should always stay safe around ATMs and be mindful when it comes to finances.
"Never talk or allow a stranger to help at an ATM," says one user.
