The legacy of SA music icon, Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes will be honoured in a public memorial and funeral over this weekend.
The Forbes family announced the memorial and funeral details on AKA's social media account on Tuesday.
Today, Friday, 17 February, at the Sandton Convention Centre, the memorial was held at 15:00.

South African hip-hop artist Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, has been shot dead on Florida Road, KwaZulu-Natal.
The rumours began surfacing on social media, with Durban locals sharing images at the scene of the crime, trying to make sense of it all.
Several South African artists and celebrities posted "broken heart" emojis, which suggested that news had filtered within inner circles.
