We're not crying, you're crying...
Home is where the heart is and no matter how happy you might be somewhere else, there is nothing quite as special as returning home after being away for some time.

The pandemic has also helped us realise how one can take quality time with your favourite people for granted and you never know when it might be the last time you see someone.
Thuso Mbedu has been securing the bag in the US and has made South Africans proud with her incredible acting in the Emmy-nominated series, 'The Underground Railroad'. She has even secured a role in a new project where she will be starring alongside Viola Davis.

But after spending many months overseas, working hard and not being able to see the people she loves most, she was able to return to SA and have a long-awaited reunion.
She has previously opened up about her family situation in an interview with Vogue:
In my nuclear family, it’s just my sister and I that’s left. She has a daughter, and then we have cousins, but it’s a few. We didn’t have a relationship with our father’s side of the family, but an entire generation passed away while we were still young—even our grandparents from that side have passed away—and then from the maternal side, my grandmother had seven children and only two are surviving now. So we try to keep in contact as much as we can, but as the years go by, it’s getting smaller and smaller.- Thuso Mbedu

So you can only imagine the reaction that her sister had when she surprised her by showing up at her door.
She did not suspect a thing and while it is super emotional, it is also quite hilarious:

Hopefully, Thuso will be able to spend some serious quality time with her friends and family before she sets off to another glamourous Hollywood set.
In the meantime, we'll be spending the day calling all our loved ones to tell them how much we miss them.
