WATCH: Is it okay to discipline other peoples' kids?
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
People are divided after a woman stepped in to discipline a young boy misbehaving in a public space.

Seeing children throw tantrums and misbehave is nothing new, but is it ever okay for a stranger to intervene?
A video that shows an older woman reprimanding a child on a bus has gone viral, leaving social media users divided.
While some argue public spaces warrant a reaction from others, others insist that disciplining a child is solely the parent's responsibility.
The TikTok clip, which has gained over 22 million views, shows a noisy child sitting behind the woman. As his behaviour continues, she quickly loses her patience.
She turns around and, using a stern and firm tone, says, “Hello, don’t give me an unnecessary headache, or I will take you inside my nose for two minutes. Believe what I say. If I hear anything.”
The child, clearly stunned, sits in silence following her warning.
With more than 49,500 comments, it’s clear that social media users are not in agreement.

Parents and non-parents alike shared their opinions on disciplining children in public spaces. Here are some of the standout comments:
“Have you ever wondered why Nigerian children are often so well-behaved? It’s simple. One thing you should know is that Nigerian kids don’t misbehave easily because there’s a network of eyes watching,” @BaronessOyin shared.
“To the offended parents in the comments: if you're not going to parent when you're kid is being a nuisance to the rest of the public space ya'll are SHARING with others, then someone else will,” @JessicaNightingale said.
“They said it takes a village to raise a child,” @ReeRee wrote.
@Trumu Tanka asked: “So the parents are going to allow her to threaten their boy like that?”
“This is not ok guyz!! You can’t discipline others people child,” @Dorinehelene commented.
