This amusing incident, which was shared to Instagram by @meemlogy, has been circulating and people can't help but make a joke out of the situation caught in 4K.
In the video, the groom is seen sitting on the ground surrounded by friends and family while a sneaky suspect is seen with wondering fingers when he spots the garland.
A garland is a common accessory that is generally gifted to the groom during the baraat. This garland is filled with money as a gift to the newlyweds.
As the video progresses, a man sitting near the groom tries to grab a few notes from the garland.
However, the groom turns to him and the man promptly removes his hand.
In the culprit's second attempt, he succeeds in extracting this money from the garland and quickly puts it in his pocket hoping no one noticed.
To his dismay, we noticed.
The comments.have been absolutely hilarious, calling it the "Indian money heist".
Although there may have been some who respected the hustle, many have complained about how this thief is disrespecting the wedding day, as well as the garland tradition.
If the tables were turned, how do you think the thief would react?
We hope this groom had a wonderful celebration with his wife and even though he may be a few dollars short, we have no doubt his special day was priceless.
