WATCH: Freak accident where man loses limbs after eating his mate's leftovers
"He's not gonna care if I eat this, he wasn't gonna finish it anyways..."
We're gonna go out on a limb here and say that you should always be careful what you eat after hearing this crazy story.

This video and story has gone absolutely viral about a teen who made the biggest mistake of his life after eating his friend's Chinese leftovers.

How bizarre and crazy is this situation! We all eat leftovers and rarely give it a second thought, right?
One can only imagine what it must've been like for this college boy when he suffered from shock, multiple organ failure, skin mottling, and a rapidly progressive reticular rash after having some of his friend's leftover noodles from the night before for lunch.
During the course of the night, he kept thinking, "what was it about those leftovers, I shouldn't have eaten them for sure", as he lay in a foetal position convulsing with pain.

“The patient had been well until 20 hours before this admission, when diffuse abdominal pain and nausea developed after he ate rice, chicken, and lo mein leftovers from a restaurant meal,”
This particular restaurant in Boston, USA is known for their killer food but who knew it would cause such a deadly reaction with this boy? We have so many questions about what caused this severe reaction.
Furthermore, this patient, JC, was also a part-time worker at the restaurant. After eating the leftovers from the unnamed Chinese outlet, he started throwing up.

This episode of vomiting was followed by chills, shortness of breath, headache, blurry vision, and chest pain. A friend of the patient said that his skin had started to turn “purple”, which looked like bruises.
En route to the hospital, JC was so stiff he couldn't move his neck, although this wasn't as important as the fact that he started to lose vision.
After undergoing blood and urine tests, as well as being transported via helicopter to another hospital with better resources, JC was diagnosed with a bacterial infection called 'Neisseria meningitidis', which caused his blood to clot and his liver to fail.
His feet and hands started to get cold. He then developed sepsis and gangrene, which caused him to require amputation of his leg and fingers.
All the evidence points to the food being bad and as the YouTube video states, from a lack of booster shot of the meningialcoddal vaccine for JC.
We may never know what happened to the food to cause it to being contaminated with Nesseria meningitidis, but we know that bacteria is transmitted through saliva. It's deemed a freak accident that happened at this particular place, as this particular time. Very unlucky for JC.
We are fortunate to report that he has now made a recovery but the changes made to his body are permanent.
