Eight family members dined at a restaurant, accumulating a bill of R7,800 before leaving without paying.
A brazen family of eight pulled a shocking stunt at a newly opened Italian restaurant in Wales.
The family devoured a feast fit for royalty, racking up a hefty £329 (R7,800) bill – then vanished without a trace! The restaurant, devastated by the insane act, shared the security footage on Facebook, hoping to identify the culprits.
According to Bella Ciao, the restaurant, the woman attempted to pay with a card that subsequently declined TWICE. Following this, she told them her son would wait inside while she left to get her other card.
"Of course, she does not return and then the son receives a phone call and says he has to go and does a runner. We had no way of contacting you as the number you used to make the reservation was fake! So we had no choice but to report it to the police," the restaurant said on Facebook.
After sharing the clip online, the local community rallied behind Bella Ciao. Welsh locals were moved by the restaurant's plight and people flooded in to dine and show their support.
