According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website: "Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time."
There is also no cure for cystic fibrosis, although there are treatments that help improve the lives of those with the disease.

Nompilo is hoping to get a very expensive but lifesaving surgery and transplant, but unfortunately she does not have the money to fund the operation. She needs R2-million for not only the specific procedure, but to also cover all her overdue medical bills and debt.
Somehow, Cassper heard about her story and got in contact with her. After some conversations and learning more about her condition, he made a video and uploaded it onto his Instagram and Twitter accounts, which have a combined following of 7.9-million people. Quite the audience.

The star not only used his massive platform and influence to highlight a good cause, which in this case is helping save someone from a life-threatening illness, but also donated a HUGE amount of money.
R150,000 isn't just petty cash. That truly is life-changing money.
Hopefully, many more will be inspired by her story, she will reach her goal and then she'll get her new, healthy lungs!
You can make a donation towards Nompilo's GoFundMe here.
