The funeral of the radio legend, affectionately known as 'The Jammer', was a very emotional affair. Eucharist, who is the widow of Mabena, very courageously took to the podium at her husband's funeral service to share the following:
The day I drove back home knowing I will never see you again. I miss the way you used to hold me every night. I will miss our silent conversations and our spontaneous conversations. My husband was a teacher, He was consistent. The person he was to the world was the same person, even more, at home. He was intelligent- Eucharist Mabena
In a moment of some comedic relief, Eucharist also shared that her late husband knew something about everything. She was making reference to his command of the Queen's language, English. Eucharist shared that sometimes her husband would throw in big English words and she would just nod and laugh even if she did not understand what he was saying.
A video of happier times between the couple has been doing the rounds on social media. It showcases the romantic side of Mabena. In the video shared on Eucharist's Instagram page, the couple did an impromptu date night in their home.

His last show he said he ran away from home because his wife will keep on feeding him. 😅😅😅 I pray strength to Eucharist may she hold on to their beautiful memories they shares.#BobMabenafuneral pic.twitter.com/r3PaZNr4a6

We miss dressing up and going out, so we opted for a backyard dinner date. Thanks to my babies Dee, Owami and LJ our glam squad for the make up, waiting on us and just being amazing. Love you guys.- Eucharist
