Luang's granddaughter posted various videos on TikTok. Despite many believing that this is in fact a hoax, he was very much a real person who has lived a full life.

Shocking millions with his fragile appearance, Luang had to have been a very well balanced and fit individual in order to be able to make it to his old age.
This gives many viewers an insight into what they need to do in order to live a lengthy life.
Many viewers have been filled with questions, with one of the main ones being if Luang was in the process of Sokushinbutsu.
Sokushinbutsu is a popular Buddhist practice in Japan which sees people enter mummification whilst still alive.
Luang was not doing this process and his granddaughter asked for people to be respectful - rather than making jokes.

Although many rumours have been spread about the monk's age, many are concerned about what the intention behind these TikToks are.
Many memes have sprouted as a result of the rumours, however, many others feel that it is severely disrespect due to the cultural practices of monks.
