Another mamba has been slithering through Durban, but due to the heavy downpour this weekend, the mamba was washed away into a resident's home.

Nick Evans, Durban's famous snake catcher, reports: "A family in Luganda (back end of Mariannhill) were mortified at the sight of the large Mamba slithering around their house."

As stated in the post above, the mamba was looking for shelter from the severe weather conditions.

"At one stage it went into a small patch of bush, but then came out again, and hid behind some wood. I think it's shelter probably got flooded or washed away, and now it was searching for a new one," says Nick.

Nick mentions how he was able to capture the snake with the help of his friend, Duncan Slabbert.

Nick shares that: "It's a big old snake, at least 2.5m in length. Magnificent creature!"
