Whatever happened to the blood that was looted at the SANBS during Uncle Cyril's speech?
The question has been on our minds and we finally got down to the bottom of it!

We spoke to our friends at the SANBS and this is what they had to share on the situation, listen below:
As mentioned by Khensani Mahlangu, luckily the alleged "vampires" did not actually take any of the blood.
The SANBS (South African National Blood Service) was collateral damage to the main looting that happened in the mall.
The "vampires" merely stole office supplies and trashed the place in their endeavour to bring about chaos during the looting.

Despite many believing that there is a black market trade for blood in South Africa, the SANBS have confirmed that they do not believe that this is true.
The transport system has airtight security and the blood isn't able to last for an extended period of time outside of the cooled conditions.
Perhaps there's another way that these "Vampires of Durban" go about this? One thing is for certain, the blood we donate is definitely not involved.
