So we've all heard about befriending, but how about unfriending?
With the uncertainty of life, friendship is often put to the test and often times the only way to #SaveYourSanity is to jump ship.
Unfriending is the act of removing a friend from a social circle found on a social media site. In layman's terms, cancelling a friend, giving them the boot or simply unfollowing them.

On National Unfriending Day, we are checking in with KZN about their experiences with unfriending someone. Tune in at 16:00 to hear the verdict.
After you've unfriended someone or been unfriended, it can be super awkward.
"You can cut the tension with a knife," says one user.

Here is what to do after you have been unfriended:
- Don’t ruminate over the unfriending, accept it and move on
- Expand your real life social network
- Try to figure out what caused the rift for piece of mind
- Do not stalk the person who unfriended you
- Find other things to take your mind off of it and spend time with people who add value to your life
- Seek professional help when needed
Unfriending may seem like the simple solution, but you need to be weary of the consequences.
