Tomato is back: Simba's beloved flavour makes a comeback
Updated | By Stacey and J Sbu
It’s back! While we enjoyed Salt and Vinegar and Mrs Balls Chutney, many South Africans are jumping for joy as their fave flavour returns.

Simba Chips has made a huge announcement on social media that's sent many South Africans into a frenzy.
Four years ago, PepsiCo pulled the All Gold Tomato Sauce flavoured chips off the shelves after a "Choose Me or Lose Me” campaign.
The goal was to cut one of three iconic Simba flavours: Salt and Vinegar, Cheese and Onion, or All Gold Tomato Sauce.
Simba chippie lovers were asked to keep their favourite flavour going by buying and voting for it. Unfortunately for Tomato Sauce flavour lovers, the majority who did not enjoy the flavour came out victorious.
This month, Simba Chips SA took to Instagram to share a short clip of a number of social media comments pleading for the Tomato Sauce flavour to make a comeback.
The caption read: “Tomato Sauce isn't just a condiment, it's a lifestyle. Trust us, we get it and don't worry – we’ve got you!”
