The festive season brings with it happy times, and jolly moods but crime doesn't sleep during this time of year. It is advisable to be more aware around this time of year.
A woman from Johannesburg who took to TikTok recently shared how this time last year she was almost abducted by a taxi driver.

What was scarier than hearing her story was to see another woman's comment saying,
"this happened to me today. the taxi driver drove off with me & my friend. had to lower the window & started shouting that he is kidnapping us."
Then people started sharing their viewpoints.

- Make sure to check the driver's credentials.
- Check that the door is not child lock before the vehicle starts moving.
- Before the car starts moving call a friend or family member and tell them where you are, the name of the driver, the license plate number and where you are going. This will also scare the driver if they want to do something.
- Always follow your instincts.
