#TheFixer: 'My family has been telling my boyfriend lies about me, what do I do?'
Updated | By Stacey and JSbu
What would you do if you caught wind that one of your family members had been spreading false and malicious rumours about you to your romantic partner?
That is the predicament of one anonymous KZN listener who sent Stacey and JSbu an email this week for their feature known as, #TheFixer.
Read her email below:
HI Stace and JSbu, Have you ever had someone close to you speak negatively about you to your partner behind your back? What does this behavior mean? My boyfriend has recently revealed to me that my cousin has been saying some really inappropriate things about me- basically alluding to the fact that I am not to be trusted- this is not based on anything! Thank god, my partner told me what my cousin said, what if he believed his lies and broke up with me. How do I deal with this situation?- Anonymous
Anonymous shared with the team that her cousin, whom she is very close with, has been telling her partner what she deems to be inappropriate things. Luckily for anonymous, her partner has told her all about the fabricated lies that her family has been telling him. Baffled as what to do, she wants to know from Stacey and JSbu and the rest of KZN what they think she should do?
Do you have advice for her?
